You'll enjoy the hint of sage that complements the tomatoes in this simple side dish.
1 tablespoon olive oil 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 can (14.5 ounces) Muir Glen organic diced tomatoes, undrained 1 can (15 to 19 ounces) cannellini beans or white beans, drained, rinsed 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh sage leaves 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- In 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook garlic in oil 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until light golden brown.
- Add tomatoes, beans and sage. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 5 to 7 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Season with pepper.
Substitution: Use about 1/2 teaspoon dried sage leaves instead of the fresh if you like
